NAKED TIME WITH GEM
[There was something on her side of the bed. Well all of her bed was technically her side so the fact that there was something stopping her from spreading her legs out as far as she wanted was just weird. And annoying.
She gave it a good kick.
It pulled away for a but then eventually returned to rest against her toes. Annoying. And chilly. Why was she so cold.
With a sleepy grumble she rolled over to curl up and cocoon in her sheets. Not caring if her elbow happened to jam into someone else's ribs.]

[She stares at him until she makes sure his eyes are shut and completely covered. Slowly, she slides off the bed and lets the sheet fall and sets off into the rest of the room, her arms still firmly crossed over her breasts.
...Huh. It's a lavish room. The bed they were in is huge and could easily fit three people. With fancy decor and a bathroom with a hot tub. Very strange.
But still no clothes. She peeks into the bathroom to see if there's a bathroom to steal only to find towels. Will do for now. Clara wraps one around herself but it barely covers both her chest and arse at the same time.
With a sigh, she returns to the bed.]
Nothing.
no subject
Nothing?!
[And yes, that's a lovely high pitch to his voice.]
What do you mean nothing?
[He drops his hand, but immediately lifts it back, just in case.]
Is it safe?
no subject
[She winces at the pitch in his voice. But it's much better than pouting.]
No clothes. ...No nothing. It's like a weird fancy hotel room. [Then she sighs.]
It's safe. Found a towel. And grabbed you one.
[Which she'll toss in his arms.]
no subject
Okay. Right. Yes. Interesting. Don't you think, Clara? Nice big room. Nice big bed and nice big bath. But what's missing? Can you see it?

[Then it hits her like a smack in the face.]
There's no door!
no subject
[Here Clara, have a big huge smile, because you're wonderful.]
Exactly. No door. Bit hard to get into a room with no door. Bit hard to get out too. But then that's if we have to get out.
[And yes, he's pressing himself to the wall, no sonic, ear will have to do.]
no subject
But how did we get here? What about getting drunk and dancing?
no subject
[He repeats her earlier words and gives her a look.]
Convenient, don't you think?
[And yes, he can hear something. Not sure what, but something in the wall that's not a wall. Probably not a wall.]
no subject
[She crosses her arms and glares at the back of his head.]
no subject
[He taps his fingers against the wall, stepping along it, following some invisible line.
But then? He stops. Frowns, and looks back towards her.]
Are we here? I mean, actually properly here?
no subject
[Then she blinks.]
You mean that it's a vision? Or like... virtual?
no subject
What's the very last thing you remember?
no subject
[She presses a hand to her forehead as she tries to force the gears in her brain to turn and make her remember.]
Why can't I remember?
no subject
Which is frankly much more worrying. Big Time Lord brain compared to your little human one?
[There's a sudden turn, and he's there in front of her, towel swishing a little (best be careful of that), his hands held out near her face.]
I need to do something. Will you let me do something?
no subject
[She steps back a little, lips in a pout, and eyes searching him with suspicion.]
What are you going to do?
no subject
Just a thing. Get in your head a bit. Won't hurt. Promise. At least it usually doesn't hurt. Best to be positive in these things, don't you think?
no subject
And what if I don't want you in my head? Can't you go digging inside your own.
no subject
Of course I can't. I'm already in my own head. I need to be in yours. Check it's all still there. It won't take long.
[His voice quietens just a little.]
I need you to trust me, Clara.
no subject
What's it like? Will it hurt?
no subject
[Really though, it means something that he doesn't want to lie to her. Not about this, anyway.]
Trust me, Clara. Please.
no subject
[Slowly she steps forward and stands close to him. There's no verbal confirmation but it's Clara speak for "I trust you".]
no subject
[He smiles at her, a bit of reassurance as he lifts his hands and touches them to the sides of her face, positioning before he opens a connection. In truth, it'd be so easy to try and delve around. Solve the mystery of Clara. But that's not for now.
So he closes his eyes, and he tries to open a connection.
But then?
Nothing. Nothing at all. It won't work. Nothing works.]
Oh. This could be a problem.
no subject
But at the sound of his voice proclaiming a problem, she opens her eyes quickly]
You can't do it?
